We at Home Care Alternatives realize that medications and prescriptions can be a source of confusion. During our free trial initial nurse visit, the nurse will list your medications and review them with you. If you need your medications set up in a pill box, arrangements can be made to have a nurse visit every week or two to set them up and call in any refills and new prescriptions. The nurse can also call the physician with any questions or concerns regarding your medication and for new prescriptions when your old ones run out.
Our home health aides can remind you to take your medications. If they are set up in a pillbox, they will take the day’s box out and set it by your plate at mealtime so you won’t forget them.
When you are discharged from the hospital and have prescriptions that need to be filled, your Home Health Aide can get you home and then get those prescriptions filled for you. We have a Registered Nurse available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to help with medication and prescription concerns.
